Antique Signage

Over the last 15 years clients have asked me to do everything from designing logos and tattoos, to sign painting, to faux finish. Frequently I am asked to use my artistic skills to restore antique signs or to create new signs that look like they were painted in an earlier era when nearly every town had its own resident sign painter. For this, I have developed a specialized faux finish technique, combined with graphic design, that honors and preserves this piece of art history.

This sign was originally painted in 1904. The color was partially restored, being careful to maintain the weathered look people love.
